We had a big treat on Sunday: a visit from good friend, Stephanie Park, and her two kids (Connor and Avery). Stephanie and Jinsue (he had to stay in Atlanta at the last minute this weekend) have family in Tallahassee and Thomasville, and we reap the benefits when they visit a couple times a year. The past couple visits have been crazy though, as we have been hosting birthday parties and tailgates. After Steph left this fall after their football visit, I felt as though I hadn't even gotten to catch up with her. So this time, we laid low at the Schnittker house ... and had plenty of time to chat and let the kids play. Auntie Jenn and Steph are sorority sisters ... that's how I met Steph (and she was roommates with one of MY sorority sisters after college).

Towards the end of the visit, we were (barely) able to corral the kids for a group shot. You should see the outtakes - we have Avery and not Connor, then Connor and not Avery. Here, we may have some funny faces, but we do HAVE everyone (except Dennis! But he was playing photographer!) Oh, Dennis was also grillmaster. But, he had to borrow a neighbor's grill. About 10 minutes before everyone got here, we discovered "our friends" the squirrels had chewed a hole in our grill's propane hose! LOVELY!

Connor LOVED the keyboard in our playroom. Uncle Aaron (purchaser of the keyboard!) ... be VERY glad you didn't receive any phone calls on Sunday.

And I considered keeping Avery for a few days. She was fascinated over the
short Swiffer, so she proceeded to dust my floors for a good half hour. I think she might have kept going if they hadn't had to leave to go see Jinsue's sister!

Don't worry, we didn't make her work the whole time! Abby read to Avery for a little bit in her room (so cute!) and the kids gave the toys in our playroom and kids' rooms a workout!

No rhyme or reason to this shot ... it's just par for the course here. What a fun day with Jenn and the Parks!
