It's true ... this family loves a good experiment! If you recall, way back in March, we enjoyed watching an alligator and dolphin GROW to 600 times their original size. Well, it was so fun, we did it again ... this time with a Manta Ray (that's what kind Ty says it is!) and a shark. The kids got them in their "Welcome to Summer" buckets, so we took them with us to Orlando and let them "mature" poolside all week long.
It's easier to see the change in the ray, but look at Abby holding the shark in the first picture taken Monday ... then see how big that baby looks on the scale on Sunday!

Your final results?
SHARK
Monday: 4-3/4 inches long AND weighed 2 oz.
Sunday: 10-1/2 inches long AND weighed 12 oz.
MANTA RAY
Monday: 5-1/2 inches long AND weighed 2 oz.
Sunday: 13 inches long AND weighed 17 oz.

Oh yes, we here in ORLANDO grow very large manta rays and sharkS!!!
We could very well have our own little "attraction" right here in Turtle Creek! People would undoubtedly come from all around to see the sights. Think of all the $$$ we could make.
Where did you find these?
Oh, I am working on ideas for getting through the next year. I should send you what I have so far and see if you have any ideas to "tweak" them. You know, like you need a project in your spare time!
Hopefully we can talk soon.
Kym
We found them at Dollar Tree (or "The D-T" as a friend of mine used to call it!). They had all kinds of animals. Hours of entertainment for, well ... $1.
