Artists Week: Day Three (Food Art)

Usually this is called "playing with your food," but this week it's ART! Food Art! Really, I wanted the kids to eat an egg on Wednesday morning, and this kind of worked (they still gave me a hard time about it, but they gobbled up the yellow peppers, sausage, and bagel that was underneath the egg ... figures!) Then, after breakfast, we used some grapes and blueberries to make frozen fruit skewers. A yummy treat for after dinner AND it was a good way to practice patterns!
See, it's all about the presentation! Truthfully, my kids would eat a vat of blueberries if you let them, but they were EXCITED to eat them yesterday because they were on a skewer. And, when you put a bunch of fruit in a fruit bowl on the coffee table, promising it's for a still life? Well, apparently, it makes 3-year olds crave bananas and peaches. Tyler asked for a banana last night (after dinner and dessert) and ate the whole thing!

Oh I love frozen grapes!!! Can't believe Tyler ate a whole banana. I've seen that child start so many and never finish one. Go Tyler!
