Iowa - 4th of July

Yes, there was a parade ... and yes, we did collect LOTS of candy again (when you position yourselves at the end of the parade route, people are desperate to pass out their remaining candy ... especially to cute kids!) Fourth of July in Osceola is ALWAYS a hit with the Schnittkers... How can you NOT love a parade with a whole line of tractors decorated for the holiday!I even spotted a YELLOW CAR (see one of our previous posts for an explanation) you don't see on the streets every day...Did I mention the candy?That could have been what made Abby loopy!And Tyler got silly with a bit of help from Shawn Huth, Dennis' best friend from high school, who came down for the parade.
Mommy and Abby on the ground ...And WAY up high, during Abby's very first ferris wheel ride. This was a must on our list at the post-parade carnival downtown. Abby LOVED being up high getting a birds-eye view of the whole event.
But she and Tyler also had a great time on the carousel and other carnival rides.
