Not only did he eat the cookies and milk we left ... he brought Abby and Tyler several things from their wish list! The big one for Tyler was this "truck with cars on it!" When asked what he wanted during the weeks leading up to Christmas, this is what he mentioned consistently. Good thing the big guy was paying attention!
It was a VERY merry Christmas morning. We had a blast opening presents and watching the kids enjoy their new toys. The best gift for me though, was being woken up by Tyler at 6:12 a.m. (mind you D and I had just gone to bed at 1:30!) as he ran into our room screaming, "Santa was here ... and he left presents!"
Sorry Mom, Dad and Nanny missed the excitement of that initial reaction (anticipating they would sleep in a bit, we suggested they arrive around 7:00 a.m.), and we didn't even get it on video. But, Tyler's reaction, and Abby's soon after when she walked out into the living room was great! I ran out with Tyler (Dennis was still rubbing his eyes trying to wake up) to the living room, where Uncle Aaron was still sleeping on the couch. Abby was quite shocked that Aaron (who had a prime spot RIGHT in front of the tree) didn't see Santa as he made his stop at our house! Abby's gift from Santa is behind Tyler (he's being an underwear model here) ... a three-story dollhouse. It's cuter from the front ... pink and purple with balconies!
And, we can plan all of our upcoming vacations with this cool globe!
