Here are some shots from Veteran's Day morning. We spent the previous night at Mom and Dad's "Little Yellow House" in SouthWood (to stay out of the way of the hardwood floor installation). Then, on Tuesday morning, the local Kiwani's Club hosted a Family Day at the SouthWood lake. The weather was perfect that morning ... a bit cool at first, then it warmed up. But, it was a great event, with a bouncer, kids games, and a storytime.
We spent a bunch of time climbing trees and just hanging out.
And, we rode bikes! My cute pink bike (which is not pictured ... but trust me, it is OH so cute!) has not gotten much action lately, so it was so nice to be able to coast around the lake with my favorite gal, Abby. She did AWESOME on her training wheels. Given wide open space, like the path at SouthWood, Abby is a great bike rider. We plan to do this again soon.
Poor Dennis had to walk the whole way, most of the time pushing our little guy on his trike (although the boys did stop to smell the flowers along the way ... and pick some for mommy).
I tried to relieve Dennis of his job for a bit, but for some reason he wasn't comfortable riding my pink bike. Go figure!
