Schnittkers Hit Sea World!

We had a GREAT day at Sea World today with Grammy and Nanny. We were especially proud of ourselves for getting Nanny to her first theme park in a couple decades! But, we thought Abby and Tyler's Daddy (who stayed behind in Tallahassee for work) might be proud of them after seeing these pictures!

Abby and Tyler had a great time greeting Sesame Street favorites Abby Cadabby and Elmo after the Treasure Hunt show. No surprise that our Abby was delighted to meet the muppet with her same name. But, she constantly impresses me, because she is NOT shy at all! Abby walked right up and told the character they shared the same name ... and borrowed her wand for a photo!

And Tyler, who used to be scared of theme park characters long ago, is NOT anymore! He LOVED being hugged by Elmo, and counted this first show of the day as the highlight of the trip to Sea World. Dennis would also have been super proud of our brave girl. We've visited Shamu's Happy Harbour (kid-sized rides) several times, and Abby has always opted to skip "The Flying Fiddler." But not today! After riding it once with Mommy, Abby asked to go again by herself. Her cheering section stayed on the ground taking pictures. While I knew she was fine, there IS something a bit disconcerting about watching your child being propelled upward and dropped while you watch!
